Happy Mothers' Day

Happy Mothers' Day!!

It was only till the kiddos arrives that i start to understand a mothers' "joy", "pride" and "pain".

The joy of seeing the kiddos innocent smiles, questions and request.
The pride when the kiddos make their first turn, start babbering their first word, begin crawling & walking, start pre-school, etc etc...
The pain whenever the kiddos fall sick, quarrel over toys or misbehave.

Being a mother is a life-long committement with no rest day, no sick leave, no benefits and no salary. Its a 24/7 job and also on standby whenever the kiddos needs you, sometimes even after they are of age (I am guilty of this myself - recalling the many times I need to reach out to my mum for help and support).

Sacrifice, Endure, Suffer are never the words that linger on a mummy's mouth as a mummy will does what is best for the family and most of the times beyond her means - Mothers' power!

To all fellow mummies out there... I believe you will concur with me that everyday is a Mothers' Day for you whenever you see your family in good order!

Adminstrative Professional Week!

To mark this special week, the leaders in the office have graciously granted an early release for my adminstrative team to enjoy a relaxing afternooon and get indulge in an luxurious High Tea session - fully sponsered by the company!!

It was an effortless decision we all concur with The Landing Point at The Fullerton Bay Hotel.

Scones was served whilst waiting for the high tea set to be served. The team enjoys the afternoon with delectable selections of snack items all delicately presented in 3 tiered stand. This is a plus point; we can sit back and relax to enjoy the food without having to jostle to grab our bites from the buffet line.

The spread per stand is good for 2 person sharing and it's refillable. The service staff on duty are very attentative and would come around asking if we need any refill of our choice.

Top Tier: Creme Burlee Tart, Dark Chocolate Cupcake and Salted Caramel Dark Chocolate Tart.
Middle Tier: Cucumber Sandwich, Truffle Egg Baguette, Duck Rillette burger, Smoked Salmon Sandwich, Prosciutto Bagel, Brie on Cracker, Shellfish Quich and Boston Lobster Coronets.
Bottom Tier: Lemon Tarts, Eclair, Fruit Cake, Coffee flavoured Kueh Lapis and Canele.

Didn't managed to take a picture of the beverage menu.  The hotel offers a variety of tea selections from TWG and not to forget their coffee selection too.  The tea are served by pot and it's refillable of your choice. I think we have asked for more than 3 refills during our session.

High Tea is priced at SGD 45++ per pax and is served from 3.30pm to 5.30pm.

Our vedict: The ambience and service was great, allowing us the opportunity to let our hairs down, rest our mind and enjoy quality team building time.  The food selection wasn't to shout for though.

Remembering our Founding Father, MM Lee Kuan Yew

Today, our hearts deepen with unspoken grief on the demise of our Founding Father MM Lee Kuan Yew.

Once a Great man with Bug vision for a small country and it is because of his bold dream & courage that Singapore is what we are now! Thank you Sir for your life long dedication to this nation and your fellow citizens.

Without you,we would be able to have peace and stability of a nation where we know we are safe to walk down the street and fortunate to receive adequate education. We are proud to be called Singaporeans with many gratitude for your selfless contribution and hardwork all these years...

You may have passed on but your spirit and vision will remain everlasting. You will not be forgotten.

As we bid farewell... I pray you find happiness with your beloved at the other end of the world.

Please Rest in Peace Sir.
